The raya it was
Raya means celebration. End of Ramadan is something to celebrate. My husband and I celebrated our end of Ramadan on the last Iftar. The next day the first of Syawal, after prayer, we just did what we always do everyday. There wan't anything special. I did have a webcam conference with my sisters and family in Penang. That was it. It was fun because they had 2 laptops and webcams and everyone was having a good time stuffing their faces with food.

Hi Mutiara,
Perhaps one of these rayas you and your hubby can celebrate it in Penang amongst your family members and a nation that truly celebrate the wonderful festival. I'm pretty sure that would be a special day for both of you - and most importantly when you wake up on the first of Syawal, you will embark into something that you definitely would not 'always do everyday'.
Selamat Hari Raya, Mutiara.
kak sal,
lain padang lain belalang nye...
satu hari nanti akak raya kat sini pulak..boleh masak ketupat palas ,masak rendang ayam atau daging dengan BB dan adik beradik akak semua..satu lagi..genap2 sebulan akak baru update blog akak ni..lama nyeeee
sal, i raya sakan although it was v cold. selepas tu demam. oh, i beraya dgn yan.
Orang Melayu rugi berpuasa sebulan sebab depa beraya sakan and forgot that it is the fasting, idiot! and not the raya.
So I think you're more Islamic than 99% of Muslim Malays (myself included).
