That was a brutal summer, temperature wise. I have been here for over 12 years, and this is the first summer that we had so many 100 plus degrees ever. The garden suffered, the fruit trees did not bear any fruits, the big trees just turn brown. We have to wait till next spring to see if they can recover.
The Ramadan was smack right in the middle of the driest and hottest summer ever. Praise be to Allah, I could finish my fasting with only one day off due to heat. Even though the weather was kind of brutal, but it has a silver lining to it. It was so hot and dry that i stayed in door all day and finished reading the Quran. (Recite and read the translation) in the month of Ramadan.
